Kate Long Interiors is a residential interior decorating business.  Owner decorator Kate Stotts fulfills varying client needs and objectives, including making home improvements with quality fabrics, upholstery, floor coverings, furniture & art; selecting colors, materials, plumbing & electrical fixtures for renovations or new construction; assistance in furniture planning for a move or lifestyle change and fulfillment of small objectives like finding the perfect coffee table or enriching an existing sofa with custom pillows.

 

Prior to forming Kate Long Interiors, Kate assisted a nationally acclaimed interior decorator, managed two separate multi-million dollar decorating and English antiques businesses, managed a France-based antiques business for the interior design trade and contracted for a prominent Atlanta interior designer.  Kate channels her decorating and fine arts training and business background into achieving beauty and client satisfaction.  Regarding her philosophy:

 

"Creating a beautiful home doesn't mean one needs to 'start over.' I believe in a thoughtful approach where pieces that work or are meaningful to a client should be incorporated into the project alongside quality furniture pieces, fabrics, products, etc." Also, "Although I gravitate towards old world and traditional, contemporary and modern are exciting too.  The objective is to support the client's style and to build on it for aesthetic pleasure and increased happiness in the home.  Our home environments play a huge role in our lives, and home spaces that are beautiful and inspiring yet comfortable and timeless are good for the soul."

Prior to working in the decorative arts field, Kate worked in public and media relations for a decade and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.  Kate is a native Atlantan who loves spending time with her family, gardening, collecting, running, BBC dramas, and sitting by the pool with a good magazine.
